Naps

I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to take more naps. Recently, while watching the news, I heard that napping is indeed good for you. Well, that is true, but in order for it to be a good nap, certain criteria must be met.In the first place, a nap is best when it is unplanned. I mean, if you plan to take a nap, you might as well try and schedule spontaneity into your daily planner. Nothing is so sweet as to realize you are falling asleep, and you go ahead and do it.Secondly, a nap is best when you are supposed to be doing something else. I really don’t think a nap is beneficial unless I am supposed to be mowing the lawn, washing the car or going back to work.Thirdly, a nap should be taken where you normally wouldn’t sleep. My favorite place is in my easy chair, in front of the TV. I know it sounds corny, but that is where I snooze the best – unless some scoundrel changes the channel or makes any kind of noise.And my last napping tip is that you should use the buddy system. I like to nap with someone else, that way, if you get caught napping when you should have been working, you have someone to take the blame. Small children, pets and on occasion a spouse would be an excellent napping buddy. (Just remember you are there to nap)So there you have it.
